Inspired by the rise of human-sounding AI customer-service systems in China, this installation examines why AI is increasingly designed to mimic human behavior and emotion.

Visitors are invited to converse with a customer-service chatbot about a broken product. The system analyzes their dialogue, applies behavioral tags and filters, and assigns an AI-defined identity within a virtual space. Through responsive visuals and audio, the work reveals how humanized AI operates within surveillance capitalism—appearing warm and familiar while quietly observing, categorizing, and redefining its users.
